Сирень обыкновенная Amethyst II (Аметист II) - сорт среднего срока созревания. ( Штанько, Михайлов, 1956 г). Куст среднерослый. Цветет обильно, ежегодно. Цветы голубовато-лиловые, простые, крупные. Лепестки овальные. Соцветия крупные, плотные, длиной до 30 см. Сирень хорошо растет на солнце и в полутени, предпочитает защищенные от ветра места. Не переносит низкие места, которые подтопляются. Любит плодородную почву, с нейтральной или слабокислой реакцией. Легко переносит зимние морозы, ее цветочные почки почти никогда не подмерзают. Засухоустойчива, хорошо реагирует на обрезку.
